What is VW Flex?
VW Flex is a vehicle subscription service that includes maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance for select Volkswagen vehicles. Pay a monthly fee and cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice.
How does a VW Flex subscription work?
A VW Flex subscription puts you in the driver’s seat of a late model year Volkswagen. This month-to-month program includes insurance, maintenance, and roadside assistance. A monthly fee will be charged to your credit or debit card at the beginning of each month. To take advantage of VW Flex, you must register for an account. We’ll review your info and let you know if you’re approved for the program. You can then schedule to pick up or have your vehicle delivered. Once you’re in your VW, you may enjoy it for as long or as little as you’d like. Just give us a 30-day notice if you’d like to cancel, and we’ll help you arrange a time to drop off your vehicle.
Which vehicles are available?
You can choose from the following Volkswagen models: Tiguan, ID.4, Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, Golf GTI, and Jetta. Vehicles will be from the last two model years. Availability may vary based on customer demand.
What commitments do I have with a VW Flex subscription?
You must commit to your VW Flex subscription for a minimum of 31 days. In the event that you would like to cancel your subscription and turn in your vehicle, we require 30 days' notice. Your subscription will automatically renew each month up until the time you return your vehicle. If your cancelation date falls after a new subscription month has begun, you will be refunded for the remaining unused days on a prorated basis.

Who is eligible to join VW Flex?
You must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record. For full details on eligibility, please see the Program Terms and Conditions.
Are pets allowed in my vehicle?
Yes. With the exception of service animals, pets must be transported in locked pet carriers. Upon vehicle return, pet-related wear and tear is subject to cleaning fees and charges.
What data does VW Flex collect?

How do I join VW Flex?
Will VW Flex affect my credit?
No. VW Flex does not check your credit score or grant access based on creditworthiness. Eligibility is at the sole discretion of VW Flex. Customers must provide a valid driver's license and meet eligibility requirements noted in the VW Flex Program Terms and Conditions.
What is the mileage limit for VW Flex?
As part of your subscription, you are allotted 1,000 miles per month. You may choose additional mileage packages during your vehicle selection process. Excess accumulated mileage charges will be calculated at vehicle turn-in.
Can I test drive a car before signing up?
We do not offer test drives at this time, however, we can arrange for you to get in a different vehicle if you aren’t satisfied with your current one. Once you get in a different vehicle, you will be charged an updated monthly fee corresponding to that vehicle.
Can I gift a subscription to someone?

Will VW Flex contact me for any reason?
We may contact you to schedule maintenance or swap out your vehicle based on regular factory maintenance schedules. For full details, Please see the Program Terms and Conditions.
What hours is VW Flex customer service available?

How many subscriptions can I have at once?
You can have only one subscription and drive one VW Flex car at a time. To get in a new vehicle, you will need to cancel your subscription and reserve a new vehicle.
Vehicle pickup and dropoff
How do I get in my VW Flex vehicle?
Once we confirm your eligibility, you can select your vehicle and make a reservation for pickup at a participating Volkswagen dealership. You may also have your VW delivered for a $75 fee if your delivery location is within the service area of a participating Volkswagen dealership.
Where do I pick up and drop off my VW?
VW Flex vehicles can be picked up and dropped off at our participating dealership locations.
Is there a warranty on VW Flex vehicles?
Yes. VW Flex manages the warranty on and maintenance of all vehicles.
What happens if I need roadside assistance?
Whether you get a flat tire or run out of gas, your VW Flex subscription includes roadside assistance. Give us a call at + 1 800 411 6688 if you need any help.
Can I arrange for my VW to be delivered?
Yes, you may make a reservation to have your vehicle delivered, as long as the delivery location is within the service area of one of our participating Volkswagen dealerships. There is a $75 delivery fee.
Can I change or cancel my vehicle pickup or delivery reservation?
Yes. You can give us a call at + 1 855 237 2888. Your credit or debit card will not be charged until your pickup or delivery is completed.
Do I have to coordinate a time to drop off my VW?
Yes. Give us a call at + 1 855 237 2888 to cancel your VW Flex subscription and schedule your drop-off at a Volkswagen dealership. Vehicle drop-off windows are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Once you drop off your vehicle, an authorized representative will inspect it to ensure there is no visible damage to the vehicle.
Do I need to return my VW with a full tank of gas or electric charge?
Yes. Please refuel or charge your vehicle prior to dropping it off. In the case that your tank or battery isn’t full, you will be charged the cost of replacing the fuel at the price per gallon at the local market rate. This charge will be added to your next or final monthly bill.
What if I discover I left something behind in my VW after drop-off?
As part of our turn-in process, we ask that you do not leave any personal items in your vehicle. VW Flex and our authorized representatives are not liable for any property left in the vehicle. Insurance, roadside assistance, and maintenance
What insurance is included as part of my VW Flex membership?
The following insurance coverage is included with all VW Flex subscriptions (covers all approved drivers): •$250,000 Liability coverage (combined single limit) •Uninsured motorist (combined) - $25,000 bodily injury per person / $50,000 injury per accident / $25,000 property damage per accident. •$1,500 In order to keep your insurance (and your VW Flex subscription) active, you must adhere to the Program Terms and Conditions.
What happens if my vehicle needs maintenance?
VW Flex vehicles receive regular interval maintenance by certified Volkswagen technicians at authorized Volkswagen dealerships. If a vehicle requires maintenance during your subscription period, VW Flex will service the vehicle or replace your current vehicle with the same or similar vehicle in the interim. VW Flex will work with you to arrange a drop-off or exchange of your vehicle. This service is included with your subscription.
What if my vehicle needs to be repaired?
In the event that you discover any issues with your vehicle, you must notify VW Flex promptly by calling + 1 855 237 2888. We’ll help arrange to have your vehicle repaired. Do not drive your vehicle in an unsafe condition. For our full policy, please see the Program Terms and Conditions.
Where can I find my insurance card?
You can find your digital insurance card when you log in to your VW Flex account. There is also a paper copy in your vehicle’s glove compartment.
What happens if I get into an accident?

What happens if I lose my keys?
Give us a call at + 1 855 237 2888 to arrange for a new key fob to be created. The VW Flex program will coordinate with the nearest participating dealership to program a new key for you. You are responsible for the cost of the replacement key fob.
What if my credit card provides insurance on rentals?
Comprehensive car insurance is included with your VW Flex subscription.
Payments
How much does a VW Flex subscription cost?
There is a non-refundable $495 activation fee at the start of a VW Flex subscription. From there, you’ll pay a fixed monthly fee based on your selected vehicle and mileage, plus tax.
Is there a VW Flex activation fee?
An activation fee of $495 is required at the start of your VW Flex subscription. The fee is non-refundable and charged on the day of your pickup or delivery. If you cancel your VW Flex subscription and would like to return to the program at a later date, the following activation fees apply upon the pickup or delivery of your vehicle: •Less than 3 months: No fee •3-12 months: $250 reactivation fee •Over 12 months: $495 activation fee
How do I pay?
When you register for VW Flex, you’ll be asked to provide us a valid debit or credit card. Your $495 activation fee, along with your first payment, will be charged to this card when you pick up your vehicle. Following the first payment, you will be charged your fixed monthly fee for future payments.
How do I change my payment method?
You can update your payment method to any valid credit or debit card by logging in to your VW Flex account. Navigate to "My account" > "Payment details" > "EDIT" to update your card information. You can also give us a call at + 1 855 237 2888 for assistance.
Traffic and program violations
What happens if I get highway tolls, speeding tickets, and/or parking tickets?
You are expected to operate your VW Flex vehicle in full compliance with all traffic and safety laws. You are responsible for any violations that occur. If VW Flex receives notice of a toll or violation, we may: •Pay the toll or violation (including any fines, fees, or taxes) on your behalf and charge your credit or debit card. This will also include an administrative fee of up to $25 per violation. •If permitted by the authority issuing the violation, transfer liability to you. You will then be wholly responsible for all correspondence with the appropriate authority and any amounts due. For full details, please refer to the Program Terms and Conditions.
How do I see my toll fees?
Log in to your VW Flex account to view any outstanding tolls, tickets, and other violations. In the event that you incur any of the above, we will apply the applicable charges to your credit or debit card and provide you with your invoice online.
Drivers
Can anyone else drive my VW Flex car?
Yes, you can add one additional driver. They must be at least 25 years of age and meet all eligibility requirements as part of registering for the VW Flex subscription.
Can the secondary driver on my account pick up or drop off my vehicle?
Yes. VW Flex vehicles can be picked up and dropped off at our participating dealership locations. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required to pick up or drop off your vehicle.
Charging
How do I charge my ID.4?
Learn about ID.4 your charging options here. The fastest way to charge your ID.4 is at a fast-charging station. Click here to find an Electrify America charging station near you. For emergency charging, the ID.4 comes with a Level 1 charging cable (in the trunk), which can be plugged into a standard outlet.
Cancelation
How can I cancel my VW Flex subscription?
If you would like to cancel your VW Flex subscription, we require 30 days' advance notice. Give us a call at + 1 855 237 2888 to cancel and schedule your dropoff at a participating Volkswagen dealership. Once we receive your vehicle, you will no longer be charged the monthly fee. Any unused portion of a subscription month will be refunded to you, on a prorated basis.
